Even though I am now married and have a Valentine, I still hate singles awareness day. I think it's the biggest joke of a holiday. Really? It's just a way for Hallmark to make loads of money! Hey they even made $4 off me! However what kind of weirdos would we be if we didn't at least acknowledge the day so this year hubby and I got...BLAKE SHELTON concert tickets as our V-Day gift to each other. He also picked me up a few roses because apparantly it's not Valentines Day without some roses. That and he has to sit through The Vow with me tonight. He's really excited :).

Too Much Time At Home.

Outside of running an errand or two, I literally haven't stepped foot out of my house for the 3rd weekend in a row. When I am sick I turn into a huge baby and I really don't like leaving my house. So with that said, staying home all weekend means I get lots of time to spend looking at Pinterest which in turn gives me lots of ideas on how to spend my boredom. Today I was feeling sorry for myself so I decided to get up and do something. I painted our kitchen table and chairs. And it was a pain. But completely worth it. I've been looking for a table to do the "shabby chic" look on for a while now, and I finally just threw in the towel and said hey, "why not just use the one you got." Hubby was out shooting all morning so I had the entire house to myself to just paint, and not spend time thinking about how bad I've been feeling.

As far as an update on my sickness goes, I am still feeling like crap. My abscess is not going away. My body aches all over. I'm guessing my infection might be spreading to glands or something? Tuesday morning I have an appointment to see an ENT specialist so hopefully he will be able to fix me 100% this time. I know he's going to tell me I need to get my tonsils out, but being that I just started a new job, I do not have the time to take off for that. Hopefully there's some kind of wonder drug out there that I just haven't tried yet. My poor insurance is going to drop me as many times as I've been to the doctor these past few weeks.

We did manage to make it out last night for our little Valentines Day Date. We originally planned to go to dinner and a movie but I wasn't feeling up to the movie so after dinner we just came home and went to bed. The food was amazing and it was a cute little European style restaruant with a romantic feel. Perfect for a Valentines Day date!

Well that's been our weekend! Heres to praying that next weekend I can actually get out of the house and have something more exciting to blog about! We shall see! Have a good one :)

The Halfway Point.

Today marks Hubby's 3 Year anniversary in the Air Force! This means that we are exactly halfway thru his first contract. Luckily we still have 3 years to decide what our next move is going to be (as far as staying in vs. getting out) but we have had some good times the past three years in the Air Force so I figured I would recap on some of them :).

These last few years have definately been full of ups and downs but I wouldn't have traded them for anything. I am so proud of my husband for all that he has accomplished and I can't wait to see what else he will do on his Air Force journey! Congrats honey!

The Truth About Tonsils.

Visit number 3 this week to the doctor...Check! Atleast now I am feeling 38493849392234 times better.

Remember how I was complaining at how horribly my last Dr. treated me? Well I was right. He was a complete idiot. My pain got so bad yesterday that I decided to go back to the main Urgent Care clinic. When I say this place was like a mini hospital I am not even joking. It was 2 stories, had a Walgreens in it, and had surgical and x-ray rooms. Definatey high tech to be considered an UC. Anyways, I saw a different doctor and she was great. She looked at my tonsils for less than 2 seconds and said, "Yep, that's definately an abscess." I am not an idiot, and I know what my body is telling me. I am still so ticked at the first doctor who refused to listen to me. So they put me in some room and hooked me up to IV antibiotics, pain killers, and a steroid. I feel so much better already. She also prescribed me a different anti-biotic and gave me some paink killers to take home incase I need them. The first abscess I got I had to be given IV treatment as well in order for it to get better.

So why am I telling you all of this?

For starters, if you have never had an abscessed tonsil, I can't even begin to tell you how painful it is. It's awful. It's annoying, and you feel hopeless, like it's never going to get better only get worse. This is my 3rd one so I kind of consider myself a pro at this by now. Typically you can get an abscessed tonsil after getting strep throat, or in my case, the cold virus which led to tonsilitis, which led to an abscess. For me, all 3 times, only my left tonsil has hurt. Not sure why, but its always that one. Hurting on only one side of your throat is a good indication it is an abscessed tonsil. It will shoot a radiating pain through your ear and depending on how far along your abscess is, it will be extrememly difficult to open your mouth, talk, and even eat. Lucky for me, all three of mine have been caught early enough I haven't had to have surgery to drain them. If you don't catch it in time, your abscess will be too far along to just treat with antibiotics, and instead will have to be drained either by needle or an incision. Not fun.

So being that it is the time of the year where everyone is getting sick, if you start feeling any of these symptoms, ask your doctor about the possibility of an abscess. It took doctors a month to find out what was causing my pain on my first one, and by the time they did find out my throat had nearly swollen shut. It was an awful kind of pain, and completely disgusting when it busted on it's own. Since then I have learned that it is a very specific pain, and I know when it hits, exactly what is going on.

So I just wanted to share my little story incase this happens to anyone else, you have an idea of what to think about and ask you doctor! Good news is I am on the road to finally feeling good again :).

Weekend Re-Cap!

Well as I am sure you've probably guessed, I spent all weekend being sick. I even had the hubs take me to TJMax on Sunday because I simply HAD to get out of the house. I finally was able to sleep Sunday night without needing nose spray, tissues, or Tylenol. However getting over one thing led straight to another because now I have...an abscessed tonsil. It hurts like no other and apparently the doctor I saw thinks I am crazy. I don't know my body or anything...I wouldn't know what an abscessed tonsil feels like even though I get them a lot. Wouldn't have a clue. Luckily I seemed pushy enough to get a prescription for some antibiotics. Hopefully it clears it up. If not let's just say I am NOT going to be a happy camper when I go back in. Looking at someone with your eyes closed the entire time doesn't really cut it as a thorough medical analysis in my opinion. Just saying...

On a much happier note I did get my nappy ole' roots done. Thank goodness! They were...shall we say...OUT OF CONTROL. But all is good now and I even got a haircut. Not much of a change, but it is slightly shorter.

I've seriously never been so happy to see a Friday in my life. Since Tuesday morning, I have been feeling awful. I orginally just thought I had yet another sinus infection, but when I went to the dr. he informed me it was no sinus infection at all...but instead a virus. Yay! So yesterday I morning I woke up feeling absolutely terrible. I had all of the flu symptoms and my head felt like someone bashed it in with a hammer. I had to call out sick there was no way I could make it out of the house. I really still don't feel well at all today, but I am praying I can get through work today dealing with it, and then I have all weekend to get better! Keeping my fingers crossed that by Monday I am good as new!

Oh and I am getting my hair done tommorrow! Yes I do not care how crappy I feel, this girl is getting who her roots done! They look horrid! No more looking like a ghetto superstar!

So if I don't post again for a little while, you will know it's because I am curled up in bed with tissues and lots of OJ!

How Do You Know?

Round 2 of winter sinus infection has hit our household! Both C and I are battling a narly sinus infection...again. Good news is I am going to the Dr. today so hopefully he can get me all fixed up!

This morning C texted me and said that he had a briefing to go to, but to call him when I got the chance. So I did and I am not really sure how to process what was said. C will reach his halfway mark through his first enlistment in about a week and a half. We talk about re-enlistment a lot and what we think is best for us to do when the time comes. There really is no easy answer. Both staying in and getting out has lots of positives and negatives. However, that decision was just made a lot harder. C was informed today that his career field is being cut. They are highly over-manned so every troop that is currently serving in their first term will either be a). Required to re-train or b). Leave the Air Force upon their re-enlistment. Obviously...there are some positives to this. C has been wanting to re-train..but he didn't want to be forced into doing it. Atleast this gives him the opportunity to do something else. When he does have to re-train this also means that..ding ding ding....WE WILL GET TO BE STATIONED SOMEWHERE ELSE!! That alone is worth a Hallelujah! However it is scary. What if it's time for his re-enlistment, and there is nothing he can re-train to? What if we financially can't afford to leave the military? What if he ends up getting some kind of extremely dangerous job? There are so many what if's to know exactly what the right answer is. I am very thankful that we still have 3 more years left to figure it out. However it doesn't stop me from wondering what the right decision is. Especially when I think about our future babies and how this could affect them. Maybe I am just a worry wart. My sinus infection probably isn't helping my line of thought today either. Who knows?

Has anyone else been faced with a decision like this? What did you decide to do? How did you prepare for such a big change?

I'm Rolling Like a Grandma.

I realize how much of a slacker I am during the week when I see it has been days since my last post. Oops. I'm turning into a grandma yall, seriously. M-F you can find me in my pajamas in bed at 8 p.m. :)

Now that we got that cleared up guess what we got? New couches! I love them. Like seriously love them. It's really all I think about at work all day is how badly I can't wait to get home and sit on my couches. Ha. I'm a grandma, I told ya.

Aren't they just precious? It's all definately a work in progress, and I can't wait til we get a new house so I can actually paint, but I love the color and how well it goes with my vintage decor. This makes me super happy.

As for an update on Malachi, the sweet little pup I posted about a few days ago, he is doing well and they caught the idiot who did it. He actually had the nerve to walk up into the vet and try to get his dog back. Are you really that stupid? Needless to say he earned himself a ticket to the jailhouse where I hope he stays for a long time. He tried to tell police he tied the dog to the ball of the truck while he went into his friends house, forgot he was there and drove off. Thinking the dog ran away, he went looking for him the next day and couldn't find him. Even if that is true, what kind of idiot are you to put a dog on a ball hitch anyways? It's not summer...leave the dog in the truck with a window cracked. What is this world comming to?

Why Are People So Evil? Graphic Post.

First let me start off by saying I tend to be a very opinionated person when it comes to certain issues. One of these issues is animal cruelty. Maybe I was raised a half-normal being, but I cannot stand the thought of knowing that animals are abused. When I was younger I watched my dog get attacked by another right in front of me and felt nothing but helpless. She lived but suffered some pretty bad wounds and I was mentally scarred. What if that was a child instead? A few years later I watched a selfish, selfish woman, run over a dog, not even stop, and drive off. Thankfully there was a vet on her way home who saw the entire incident as well and was able to take the injured dog and get fixed up. I went and chased the crazy woman down and gave her a good chewing. Too bad it wasn't an ass kicking because that is certainly what she deserved.

Tonight when I logged onto Facebook I came across this horrific picture and I cried. How could a human be so cruel?

Malachi is a 8 month old puppy that was drug behind a car and was found in a ditch yesterday barely alive. To think about the torture that this poor dog had to endure is un-imaginable. What's even more sickening is that this happened in the town that I spent 16 years of my life growing up in. A town that I went to college for 4 years of my life in. Some sick, disgusting, worthless person is driving around that town tonight while some innocent little puppy is suffering. I pray that whoever did this gets thrown in jail as soon as possible. He or she does not deserve to have the freedom that they are living right now. How long is it going to be before they do this to another innocent pup?

This makes me so sick. I am sorry to post such a gruesome photo but this kind of treatment needs to be stopped. If you know anything about this puppy from Bowling Green, Kentucky... please call the Warren County Humane Society and report it. I pray that justice gets served soon for sweet little Malachi.

Recaping with The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

How about a little weekly recap with The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly eh?

The Good

-This week was only a 4 day work week.

-My new job took me out to lunch at a really nice restaraunt in town as part of a mentoring session. It was extremely nice of them.

-I was able to get my house all cleaned up and I filed for our tax return!

-I got a new cell phone case.

-Hubs and I had a great date night. Dinner at a little hole in the wall place and a movie.

The Bad

-My check engine light is still on in my car. Really not looking forward to getting it fixed...again.

-We got a pretty big snow-storm this week, resulting in me driving 2 mph and nearly getting ran over by a semi. People I am from the south. I do NOT drive in snow. Don't you see my Tennessee sticker on my car? It's there for a reason.

-Hubs and I saw each other for about 3 hours total this week. We are on completely opposite work shifts so it makes spending time together, nearly impossible.

-My dogs are having seperation anxiety issues because C is no longer home with them like he used to be.

The Ugly

- Due to the seperation issues my dogs are having, Macey peed in our bed while I was sleeping. I was not a happy mama. This resulted in me having to sleep on a very uncomfortable guest bed for two days while I was busy scrubbing our bed.

-I started Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and made it two days. My body ached like no other so I had to quit. I could barely sit down. Fail.

-& Lastly, this was taken a few days ago downtown during our snow storm. This city is strange like no other I tell you.

A Trip Back In Time.

Alright, you caught me! I've been thrifting! I went with some friends yesterday to several new antique stores in our area...and wow. AMAZING. If only I had a ton of money I could do some major damage. I did manage to walk away with only spending $15. That is probably a record for me. I got a super cute window. I have been looking for an old vintage window for some time now, but everyone was asking way too much for them. I finally came across one that was $14 and I knew I just had to buy it. I also found some other really neat pieces, of which I didn't buy, but still obsessed over.

If your looking for something fun to do one day when your bored, I highly reccommend checking out antique stores close to you. Even if the "vintage" look really isn't your thing, it's still really neat to see different parts of history. I was reading postcards and letters that date back into the 1800's. It was interesting to read about the differences from then to now. History is becomming more and more enticing to me everyday.

A Little Weekend Re-Cap!

Can I just say how much I love having weekends off and how I could definately get used to this treatment. I started my new job on Friday and so far I love it. It's a completely different atmosphere then where I came from, and by different I mean better, much better. The best part? I get my own station/cubical. Yeahhh buddy I was excited about that. For the past year I have had to share with 6-7 people so getting my own is pretty much a dream come true. Oh and I have my own business cards? How cool is that? It's the little things I tell ya...

I even went out and got some supplies to use since I was so excited :)

I've also spent this weekend struggling with a nasty sinus infection. Just when it was getting better I found a dog that had gotten loose and tried to run her down. Needless to say I am way too out of shape and she was way too fast to catch, so I am pretty sure Pnuemonia is the next thing I'm going to get. Great!

Hubs and I also had a late night date on Saturday..we went to Starbucks and then stopped in Barnes and Noble. It was a fun, low-key, relaxing night. It was tough chosing between a cute love story or the new Chelsea Handler book, but I went with the love story because I am a sap like that.

We also spent lots of time loving on our furbabies this weekend. I just love that no matter what you do, they still love you.

This was hubby's last weekend in Honor Guard, so he goes back to his normal job tonight and it's going to be an adjustment. He's going back to night shift, which more or less means we really won't be seeing much of each other. I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes.

How To Be A Good Thrifter.

After spending most of yesterday going through the house cleaning and re-arranging things, it dawned on me that I have become way too much of a bargain shopper. I have way too many little odds and ends floating around my house. Yard sale season really needs to hurry up and get here.

For those of you who are new here, I am a thrift store fanatic. I know your probably thinking "those places are gross and nearly impossible to find anything in," but I promise you, they can be a gold mines. When I was younger, you couldn't pay me to walk into a thrift store. Now that I am married, and we live on a budget, thrifting really doesn't sound all that bad. I have found some great finds for practically nothing. So how do you find the good stuff?

1. Go through every aisle slowly. Some of you won't have patience to do this, but when I go through the aisles, I literally go at a snails pace. With there being so much stuff, it's hard for your eye to latch onto something. You have to search, and this does mean you have to get your hands dirty. (Keep sanitizer in your purse for when you leave.)

2. Look for the discount tags. Almost every thrift store I have ever been in has tag sales. Every item has a colored tag and every week different colored tags are 50% off. I've gotten some really cool things for as little as $.25. That is a steal!

3. Keep an open mind. My friends all tell me that I have an eye for creativity. I will pick up the ugliest piece of furniture but can imagine it being cute. Re-doing furniture can be fun. It's even more fun when you spend practically nothing on it. If you need ideas for funiture uses, look at Pinterest. That site really gets my creative juices flowing!

4. Seach through every piece of clothing (in your size). There are a lot of really ugly things at out there. I can't lie. But in between all those uglies are some really great pieces of clothing. I've seen brands such as: Banana Republic, Gap, White House Black Market, Target, Express, Old Navy, Michael Kors, Abercrombie, and many, many, more. Alot of things there still have tags on them. Just look at all of the cute pieces of clothing I got on my last Goodwill trip...all of this was less than $25...

As you can see there is hope in thrift shopping. As much fun as it is to go to a mall and spend lots of money on clothes, it's also fun to go and find mall-quality merchandise for a fraction of the cost. Just remember to wash everything before you wear it, and then it's practically good as new.

I've decided that I am going to start enjoying my time in Washington more. What better way to do that then to get out and sight-see! There are so many places here that I have never seen, and today was the perfect day to get started! We even brought the girls along to enjoy it too.

As you can see we were able to see some pretty neat things and it was a beautiful day. It doesn't hurt that we get to end our day with Baked Ziti and a movie. Hope you are all having a great start to the week!

It's Like Paying To Go To Goodwill.

This state keeps getting weirder and weirder. This weekend we decided to go to a local gun show/flea market. I was really hoping to find some vintage windows and luggage. Anyways, we had to pay $7 just to enter. I was shocked. I have never in all of my 22 years of life had to pay to go to a FLEA MARKET. That's like paying to walk in Goodwill. Crazyness I tell you. The worst part is, I walked out without buying a single thing. There was a Tennessee license plate and a bowling pin (I know...random) I thought about getting to sit around, but I decided to pass. I did manage to take a few pictures with my phone, one of which I find quite hillarious...

My friend managed to walk out with a 106 year old wooden frame. Definately will be super cute hanging up!

The Shoe Fiasco.

I had a major dilemna this morning. I decided to wear my black boots that I bought on Black Friday from Macy's with my dress this morning. They looked cute, but they felt funny. I just figured there was something on the bottom of my shoe, so I shrugged it off.

I get to work and I notice that the sole of my shoe looks odd. I took off my boot and the sole of my shoe fell right off. I've seriously worn those boots no more than 5 times and the sole just completely came off. So needless to say, hubby got an emergency phone call this morning to bring me some new shoes. I had to walk around looking like a grandma all day, but, it happens. I am praying that Macy's gives me a new pair of boots when I take them back this weekend. High hopes, I know.

Besides all that mess, hubs and I have just been relaxing and counting down my last few days of work. I am so ready for the weekend. There is a gun show/ flea market comming to town and we can't wait to go! Sleeping in for 4 days straight won't be such a bad thing either ;).

Why is it always so much harder to get up and go to work when your husband gets to stay home in a warm house, just relaxing all day? That's how I am feeling this morning. Super jealous. All I want to do is stay home cuddled up by our new fireplace...but duty calls, and I guess pay and a half since it's a holiday is pretty nice too.

I'm pretty sure this is the longest break I've taken from blogging since I started. We have just been crazy busy around here and I haven't really been feeling the greatest either. But that's okay because the new year is right around the corner and I know it's going to be a great one.

So, what have we been up to you ask?

Well...

We prepared for the holidays...

I had a work Christmas party...

We had a Christmas photoshoot with some of our best friends...

We celebrated Christmas :)

and managed to find time for naps...

We had a Christmas party with friends...

and now we are just spending the weekend relaxing and bringing in the New-Year.

So what's this exciting news I keep talking about? Well...for a long time now, I have been very unhappy in my current job. Between feeling VERY under-valued, and having someone consistently be dis-respectful to me and others around me, I just finally had enough. I knew I couldn't just quit without having something else lined up, so after lots and lots of tears, and prayers, God blessed me with a wonderful opportunity at another job. He was definately looking down on me and saw how badly I needed to get away from such a negative environment. So starting the 2nd week in January...I will officially have a new job! I will post more on it later, but for now I will just tell you that it is still in the banking industry and I think I am really going to enjoy it!

So that is what we have been up to these past few weeks. I hope to try to get back to posting regularly here soon!

About a week ago I bought a used vanity for $30. I have been looking for a cute vanity to re-do so when I saw this pop-up for sale...I knew I couldn't pass it up. I did not expect how long it took to finish and I discovered just how much I hate sanding.

This is what it looked like when we started. Ripping that top layer off was a pain. Good thing hubby was there to help!

Before the stain and new paint was applied, this was as much sanding as we could do.

Note for next time : Use an electric sander.

Almost finished.

Ta-Dah. Finished! I love how it turned out. Not bad for a $30 fix.

While doing some stalking on Pinterest, I came across a recipe for MnM Blondie Brownies. YUM. Starbucks sells these and let me tell you...they are FAB! So I figured I would give them a shot and to my surprise, they turned out great.

I got the recipe from here, but made a few modifications because I don't like coconut, walnuts, etc. I also added a tad bit of milk to mine because it was a little too thick. Even with the mods..I love the way these brownies turned out. They are even better heated up with vanilla icecream!

Yowza! I feel like it's been ages since I've posted. It must be because I am enjoying this wondeful time off work. I can defiantely get used to only working 4 days a week as opposed to 6 ;) .

Anywho, we have had a busy week! From getting our hair done, to resting, to finding voo doo dolls, we've done it.

I went back to being blonde :) And I was very surprised to find that technology has gotten so great, that now isntead of being put under a dryer, we can sit under lights. And look like an alien. Awesome.

We spent time baking. Don't worry, recipe comming soon for those delicious Blondie MnM Brownies!

We've had nothing but depressing weather. I've honestly forgotten what the sun is.

The girls just spent the week hanging out and being their usual lazy selves.

Made my weekly GoodWill trip. Not positive but that doll sure does look like some kind of a voo doo doll to me. Creepy much?

Hubs and I had a date night. If you haven't seen Sherlock Holmes 2 go see it! It was better than the first, and I loved the first one!

And I got my fortune...while we were at a party. Coincidence?

A Bunch of Random.

I am sorry yall, but this post is really just a bunch of rambling. Nothing has really been happening around here lately. Just work, work, work. Which is most likely the reason I haven't posted as much. I get home from work and all I really want to do is cook dinner and watch Christmas movies. (Even my laundry has been put on the back-burner this week :0 )

But that won't stop me from being in a good mood because I have THREE days off this week. If you knew me, you would know that that fact alone is a miracle.

So what am I doing with my 3 days off?

1. Getting my hur did. Yup I am going back blonde :)

2. Going shopping for a few more Christmas items.

3. Cleaning our house...big time!

4. Going to see Sherlock Holmes!

5. I am re-doing a fabulous vanity that I got this week!

I don't have a before photo yet, but I do have an after of what I want it to look like. (Seriously, it looks identical to this vanity shape wise.)

Last night, hubs and I went out to celebrate one of our friends birthday. She is super obsessed with themed parties, so it came as no surprise when she said she wanted this birthday to be a Raging 20's theme. It turned out super cute I must add and we had a blast. (Besides the fact that I nearly fell asleep at the club because I am an old woman now and I can't stay up past 10. Oops!)

Now off to a weekend full of work, cleaning, and watching movies!

So You Want To Talk About Anal Glands?

First off, I love my dogs. I truly do. But the past week and a half of them smelling up everything we own, has made me consider getting a frog or something instead.

Who knew that a dogs anal glands could be so...nasty?

The smell has been unbearable. I can't even begin to tell you how many blankets we have had to wash this week. D-I-S-G-U-S-T-I-N-G. Not only that but it hasn't been just one, but both dogs at the same time. Talk about a double whammy.

So we decided to do what most normal people would do, YOUTUBE. We watched several videos on how to express a dogs anal glands. GROSS. But it HAD to be done. Yesterday I finally convinced hubby that he had to do it. I would hold the dog, he would squeeze. Well let's just say that didn't go so well when it started squirting out. I called the vet and they wanted $40 to do it. I am sorry, but your squeezing a butthole and it takes 5 seconds. I am not going to pay you $40 to do that. Today I re-convinced hubby that this needed to be done and surprisingly he agreed. It was completely nasty and who knew dogs had that much "crap" stored in them. Needless to say, this is one chore I was not really prepared for when we became pet-owners. Better get used to it though because apparantly this happens to smaller dogs, alot.

Molly wasn't too thrilled about getting a bath. But there was no way I was going to let her little pooper touch anything without one.

Today was quite possibly one of the worst days I've ever had. So bad, through all of my hott-mess-ness, I managed to lock my keys in my car, and have to pay some lady $50 to get it out. Talk about being pissed even more. But I won't bore you with all the details so until I can get so un-busy, enjoy some pictures :)

Is anyone else saying HOLY COW IT'S DECEMBER?

This year has gone entirely too fast. I remember being home this time last year celebrating Christmas and New Years, graduating from college, and then coming back to Washington and starting my current job. We went on our first ski trip and soon after C left on his first deployment. It's hard to think that he's already been home 4 months. CRAZY? Where does all the time go?

Yesterday I finished up all of our Christmas shopping (minus stocking stuffers and a few presents for our pups.) It was exhausting. I am pretty sure than we managed to go to atleast 20 stores (not even in a mall) but we did come back with some pretty cool loot.

Okay so maybe I splurged and bought me a few things, but that's okay.

P.S (I got a few things at G-Will, my fave, so I will definately post pictures of my haul for you soon!)

I got a mixer! I've been fighting with myself for days over buying this and I finally just broke down and got it. I knew I would regret passing up 20% off plus a $30 mail-in-rebate so I just went ahead and bit the bullet. Originally I was obsessed with the pink one but the more I thought about it the more I realized that pink would matching NOTHING and I needed to go for something less girly. Since I firmly believe you buy a Kitchenaid to add some color to your kitchen, black, white, and silver, simply wasn't going to work. So that left red, and that's exactly what I got. I love how it looks in the kitchen and I can't wait to use it to bake some Christmas goodies!

My trunk was FULL after our day of shopping but we definately got some good deals!

Now I get to make packages and send gifts back home!

5 Months, and It All Came Down To This!

I've posted on here numerous times about how proud I am of C for all of his accomplishments thus far in the Air Force. While on his first deployment he recieved several awards for his hard work and dedication. Throughout the entire deployment the one thing he always talked about was how bad he wanted to get a medal. Basically The AAM means you went above and beyond to represent the Air Force and several people noticed your work and dedication. I am beyond excited to say that...

Today we found out that C recieved the Air Force Achievement Medal for his deployment this year! I am SO proud of him. I know he worked extremely hard for this and deserves it more than words can say. He called me at work as soon as he found out to tell me and got so excited that he decided to go and buy his ribbon for his ribbon rack. His squadron has the actual medal and certificate and what not waiting for him when he returns in January (He's currently serving in our bases Honor Guard so he hasn't been fixin' those planes for a little while.)

I can honestly say there were a few fights along the way over this medal. I felt like I was put on the back burner a lot during the deployment because of this. But now I see how happy and proud C is and I can't help but think how silly I was for feeling the way I did. So congratulations honey! You definately deserve it and I am so so so very proud of you!

Turkey Day Recap and a SWEET Deal!

Unfortunately we couldn't go home for Thanksgiving this year but we still had a great time at one of our friends houses for a potluck dinner. Pretty sure I was "tipsy" most of the time because they kept feeding me mimosas, but who cares right? They were delicious!

Now for a SWEET Deal. I have been wanting a stand mixer for a while now. At first I was just going to get a little cheap one, but the more I thought about it, the more I figured it was best to just invest in a good one..A.K.A The KitchenAid. Black Friday Madness!

I am dog tired. The only reason I am not going back to bed right now, is because I have to be at work in an hour and a half, and well an hour of sleep would only make me more tired.

I braved the crowds last night folks. I am so thankful BF shopping was a success or I would be super mad at being this tired for nothing.

Our first stop was Walmart where we got there 3 hours early. All of our friends and family back home kept telling us how crazy it was there 3 hours early so we figured we needed to go to get the good stuff.

LAME.

Our Wally World literally didn't even start getting busy until around 9:30. That's sad. Shows you how far out in BFE we live huh?

No worries though! Our super earliness made us the first people in line to checkout (& get harrassed by crazy shoppers for our buggy!)

Yeah I'd say that woman LOVES her some Walmart. Do see that buggy?

Next we ventured off to the mall where, surprisingly we were the first ones there too!

A Cheap Date.

Now that winter is upon us, hubs and I prefer to stay indoors as opposed to freezing our little buns off outside. So that means we must get creative when it comes to having "dates."

Last night was our first little indoor "date night." We had Fajita night! Can you say yum? It was delicous. We both participated in cooking the dinner and then sat down together to watch Sons of Anarchy. Unfortunately C didn't find much fun in cleaning up so I was a loner for that part. ;)

Crock-Pot Lasagna.

A.K.A The Best Lasagna You Will Ever Have.

Not even joking. I made this dish for hubs and I to eat on for a few days, and we both agreed it was the best lasagna ever. Let's just say, it didn't even last 24 hours.

Not only is it delicious but it is also super easy to make.

What You Need:

A crock pot- Duh!
1 lb. of hamburger meat
2 cans of spaghetti sauce
9 oz. package of no boil lasagna noodles
2 cups of cottage cheese
1 bag (2 cups) of mixed fiesta blend cheese

What you do:

1. Cook your meat. Combine in a bowl with the sauce.

2. Spray the crock pot with non-stick spray.

3. Fill the bottom with a layer or the sauce.

4. Cover the bottom with a layer of noodles.

5. Spread cottage cheese over the noddles.

6. Sprinkle fiest blend cheese over cottage cheese.

7. Repeat 3 to 4 layers.

8. On top layer cover with remaining sauce and sprinkle remaining fiest blend cheese over it.

9. Cook on low for 4 hours.

10. Voila! Enjoy the best darn lasagna ever!

How To Curl Yah Hur.

A few weeks ago I posted pictures of my hair curled and a lot of you all asked me how I got it to curl that way. Well, I made a video to show you all but I filmed it all upside down so instead, I found a video on YouTube that is exactly how I curl my hair. (Run-on sentence much?)

You don't have to have one of those fancy smancy curling irons to do it either. I have a normal sized Hot Tools curling iron. LOVE it. $20 ish bucks at TJ Maxx.

TaDah! The end result! It's easy peasy and on my hair length it only takes about 20 minutes (& I have extremely thick hair!)

Let's Talk About Budgets.

Ah, the envelope system.

I have stated on multiple occasions, how C and I were going to start using the envelope system. But, the debit cards remained to easy, so the envelope thing never happened.

Until today.

We are OFFICIALLY going to the envelope system.

My main motivation for this is how crappy our bank's online banking system is. I figure the less we use our debit cards, the easier it will be for me to keep up with our spending. I hate keeping a checkbook but I also hate looking at our bank account and not having anything make sense. So off to the envelope system we go.

Basically, this is how I have broken it down.

Alot of our bills come out of our account automatically. These things will not change. We also have bills that we pay using our debit card, and this will not change either. Bills are A-OK (& the only thing) to use on the debit cards.

However the following will be used with the envelope system:

1. Groceries- I have also decided to grocery shop once a week now instead of once every two. I end up throwing alot of uneaten food away and I always spend way over budget because I think I need more than what I do. No more. $60 a week in groceries. If I have money left over, it goes to the "Save" envelope.

2. Gas- We will fill our vehicles up with cash and whatever is left over will go into the "Save" envelope.

3. Entertainment money- We have gotten really OOC about this one. We don't really think about just how much money we are blowing until I see that $40 was spent at McDonalds in 2 days. Insane right? So we are limiting ourselves. $25 a week. That may sound extreme, but we both agreed we would rather save as much as we can. If we don't use it all the first week it rolls over, etc, etc. If anything is left over at the end of the month, it goes to the "Save" envelope.

4. Save Envelope- We do automatic transfers to our savings every pay-check so the "save" envelope isn't going have a whole lot in it. Basically anytime we get "change" or extra money we are going to stuff it in here. At the end of the month I will simply deposit it into our savings account and start over the next month. We have been using a jar for this the past month and have already collected over $15 in just change. I can see this really envelope really adding up!

Whatever is left over from being put in the envelopes will just simply stay in our checking account. If we decide we want to spend more money, we will withdraw it out of an ATM. NO MORE DEBIT CARDS. I have got to start getting myself on a cash-only routine!

& what better way to motivate myself to do the envelope system then making these A-W-E-S-O-M-E fabric cash envelopes to use!

Adventures in Saturday-Land.

Today should seriously be a holiday. I FINALLY have a Saturday off work. Miracle? I think so.

Today has been quite productive here in our household.

This morning, we woke up to...SNOW! The first snow of the season and it's supposed to continue to snow all next week!

The girls just hung out being them cute selves.

& I went shopping. Today was Goodwill's Christmas Extravaganza. Let me the first to tell you it pure chaos. INSANITY. Please someone tell me this line resembles that of Best Buy on Black Friday...and this is GOODWILL!

It got much, much longer by the time they actually opened! Told ya...CHAOS.

I did however manage to walk away with some good loot...even after some old hag tried to steal things out of my cart because I "had two of them."

I finally managed to come home, get the house cleaned, and decorate with all my new goodies.

And now hubby and I are sitting at home having a relaxing night watching the snow fall.

Now Ain't That Just Sweet.

WOW. I know I have been MIA, but this week has been crazy! Keeping my fingers crossed that I will have some good news to share with you all sometime soon!

In honor of Veterans day I thought it would be fitting to share with you some of the things that have happened this week so far.

For those that don't know, Chris is in Honor Guard right now for the Air Force. Basically he goes around to different places and does different kinds of ceremoies, funerals, parades, etc. This past week has been super busy for him because of Veterans Day, and everyone wanting to have a ceremony for it.

Anyways, back to the point. Earlier this week Chris had a ceremony at an elementary school. He said as they were walking in a little boy around 6 or 7, threw his hand up in the air and shouts,

"I love you Army man! I love you!"

Chris's group waved at the little fella and he begin to jump up in down in excitement shouting,

"The Army man waved at me! The Army man waved at me."

I about peed my pants when he told. How cute was that? Kids are so cute.

Today, Chris had a ceremony at another elementary school, and was presented with this as a gift after their ceremony was over.

How sweet is that?

Needless to say, there are some thoughful kids out there, and I am so moved by their sweet gestures!

What We Did This Weekend!

This weekend was pretty boring in the Moore household. Chris and I both worked all weekend, so we really didn't have time to do much.

Friday night we had a little date night. We went to one of the restaraunts in our local casino, and it was yummy!

I decided that since this is our first year having Christmas in our home (last year we flew home for Christmas and New Years!), I wanted to put up our decorations early. By early I mean, two days ago. That's not that early. Hubby and I have been trying to decide what we want for Christmas from each other. I have never been one to like suprises. When I was younger I would un-wrap all of my presents, see what it was, then wrap them all back. My mom got so sick of me doing it she eventually just took me shopping, let me get what I wanted, then wrapped it all and told me I couldn't have it until Christmas. So, I am ready for a change!

I WANT TO BE SURPRISED!

So this year I am giving hubby a list of some "ideas". Of course we all have wants so these are some of the things that I would like to have. Some of them (such as the underwear) might be past a want level and venture in to the need section!

Oops I can scratch off the 4s. I suckered him into letting me get that early :) . I have mad convincing skills.

So here I am giving him this list, of a lot of different stuff so that he can surprise me, and what kind of list do I get from him?

1. A deep freezer

2. Fishing stuff

3. Money

Really honey? That's all I get to choose from? Fishing stuff? Can you not be a little more specific? So looks like hubby will be getting a freezer, a Cabellas gift-card, and money. Man, looks like I won't have much to wrap this year. Men.

Good thing we are doing Toys for Tots so atleast I will have someone exciting to buy for!

I seriously can't believe Halloween is already here. This year really has gone by way too fast. I feel like it was just yesterday that we were celebrating New Years at home. I feel we just had our first ski trip, and Chris just left for deployment. Now he's made it back from deployment, we've went on vacation, and have done so much stuff in between. It is crazy how fast time flies. And scary.

Why Hello There Halloween!

I have to work all weekend so hubs and I decided to celebrate Halloween a few days early. We went to one of our friends Halloween party, and it was a blast. I honestly can't remember if we dressed up or not for Halloween last year, but this year we decided to be something funny. At first we were going to be red-necks (which most people were telling us wasn't a far shot from being ourselves) but when we got to G-Will and I noticed these gaw-geous outfits, I couldn't resist.

So without further ado...we were...

TACKY TOURISTS!

Yes those are granny pants I am wearing. & Yes that is a fanny pack. Can yall say gross? It was a good laugh though, I must admit.

We had a blast at the party! Too bad when we came home our puppies greeted up with some not so fun stuff. They decided it would be a good idea to not only poop in the floor, but also on our curtains. They also somehow managed to get ahold of my brand new North Face jacket and Nike tennis shoes. To say we were a little peeved is an understatement. I think we may be having some obedience classes in our near future?

Follower Fest/Re-Introduction!

I suppose I should re-introduce myself since I have several new followers on board :) .

For starters my name is Erin. My family all calls me by my middle name and I hate it, so Erin works out perfectly.

So now that you know my name, where should we start?

Well how about I was born in Kentucky and spent a whopping 15 years of my life there. When I was 15 my parents did a cruel, cruel thing and uprooted me to a new state, school, and life.

How dare they right? Keep reading.

So here I am, 15 and living in Tennessee. Money could have fell from the sky in that state and I would have still hated it. I was so mad about being there. I even got into a fight at school, which if you know me, you'd know I am secretly a wimp and usually wouldn't try to fight people.

So graduation rolls around and I couldn't wait to leave that town. Where did I go? Back to Kentucky. There was a person there that I thought was worth going back to. As it turns out, life will surprise you.

So off to college I go where I join a sorority Phi Mu. Seriously one of the best decisions I have ever made. I met some of my best friends through Phi Mu and I am so thankful for it.

My junior year of college I go on a family vacation to Florida when I get a phone call. Little did I know that the one person who kept me sane while I was stuck in Tennessee, would call after 2.5 years and a year after that, he would become my husband. Told ya, life will surprise you.

Enter military life.

That boy who called? Well that was Chris. He called me as he was graduating Tech School from the USAF. When he came home from a visit, we went on a few dates, and well as they say, the rest is history.

So after 10 months of dating, we get married. I become a military wife and move far, far, away from home. Seriously, couldn't have gotten any farther away and still have been considered within the CONUS.

So that brings us to now. We are currently living in Washington state thanks to the Air Force and some days we hate it. Some days it's okay. And other days we like it here. However we both can't wait for the day where we can move back closer to home.

Since living in Washington we have gained two family members, Molly and Macey. No we don't have twins, just two adorable miniature dachshunds! We love them to pieces, even when they are a handful!

As far as my hobbies go I have a few big ones that I am always talking about.

1. Blogging!
2. Decorating!
3. Photography!

You will see that I post all the time about them on here.

So welcome to my little place. Sometimes my stories are funny, sometimes down-right boring, but this is me and my life and I hope you enjoy reading about it :).

Insta-Friday with a Hint.

First and foremost today is Friday which means that I am linking up over at Life-Rearranged for Insta-Friday! I got my new Iphone 4s on Wednesday (yes I finally got one, story about that comming soon) so I don't have as many pictures for this week.

Last night hubster and I went to go see Paranormal Activity 3. You would think I would learn not to pay to go see them in theaters after the second one, but because everyone and their mom said it was alot better than the first two, we gave it shot. I laughed more than I jumped. It was kind-of cheesy and super short. So my suggestion to those who haven't wasted money on it in theaters yet, just wait til it comes out on video. Not even worth it I tell ya, not worth it.

Sidenote: One movie I WILL see in movies, is "Lady in Black." Anyone else seen those previews? Seriously looks like the scariest movie, ever! Oh and the new exorcism movie, something about a devil, helllooooo nightmares. Might have to skip that one!

Tonight we are going to a Halloween party and I am so excited! I will be sure to post pictures of our costume this weekend, but for now I'll give you a hint...

My friend posted this on Facebook last night, and it got me. I miss my friends and family so much. It is so hard to be so far away sometimes. Somedays I am so thankful that we were able to start out lives together out on such a clean slate. No running home to mama, no going out with friends all the time, just the two of us, learning the ropes together. But the longer we are here alone, the more we realize just how much we need to be home. I miss being so close to my friends. I know when you get married, you put your big girl shoes on and you stop all of the girly-sleepover-like parties that you used to have. But man what I wouldn't give to have some girl-time right now with some of my best friends. The people who have seen me at my best and at my worst. I miss having talks with them at midnight about the men in our lives who were driving us crazy or how we were going to decorate at our weddings. Making friends when your grown-up, is completely different from making friends when your not-so-grown-up. It is so much harder to find true friends. Maybe it's just the military world that makes the friendships so hard, but I have seen my fair share of friends here come and go and it makes me sad. I choose who I want to be friends with so my heart doesn't hurt for not being friends with some people. There are certain people you simply just don't need in your life. & Then there are the people that you do need. The people that get you through the day. The people who don't fail you. Most of those people to me are 3,000+ miles away and it breaks my heart. I try to be as positive as I can about it. I know technology is so great now that we are able to stay in contact as much as possible. But it doesn't replace having them here on the bad days and having them to help celebrate the good.

When you get married, you aboslutely without a doubt gain a best friend. For life. But the good thing about best friends, is that life allows you to have more than one. All important to you, but all for different reasons. So while of course I know that I have my best friend here with me to help me get through this new journey in our lives, I can't help but miss all the others ones that life has blessed me with. Somedays you just need them, and I guess today is one of those days.

I Love Me Some Shutterfly!

Dear TSA, Get Your Stuff Together.

If there is one group of people that just drive me crazy on a regular basis, it's TSA agents. Seriously, these people think they are some kind of super-humans out to save the world. Granted, they do serve an important purpose, but sometimes take that purpose a little bit too far.

When I read this article on Fox news, I was shocked. Last year when Chris and I flew to Washington right after getting married, we had a suitcase filled with all of the stuff that I had gotten at my Bachelorette party a few weekends before. I'm sure you all know what kind of goods I am talking about. Anyways, when we got home and started unpacking we realized just how much fun the TSA agents had with all of the "stuff". Bottles of stuff had been squeezed all over the suitcase. Packages that were never used had been open. Things had been taken apart. It was a disaster. I was so angry. I felt extremely violated. It's one thing to search suitcases but another to demolish, and open things that aren't yours. Needless to say almost all of the stuff got thrown out because who knows what they did with any of it. We complained but of course nothing happened. We had been in 4 different airports that day so who knows where it actually happened at. (Personally, as crappy as Sea-Tac is, I like to think it happened there. Worst airport ever.)

The point of my story is this. TSA needs to learn to be professional and respect others belongings. I don't care one bit for them to search every square inch of my suitcase. If them searching suitcases is going to save my life as well as the lives of others, then go for it. But don't act like 2 year olds and ruin people's things because it's not something you see "everyday" or because you think it's funny. If this story made it to the news, I can only imagine just how many people this has actually happened to.

Oh and as if them ruining a lot of my stuff wasn't bad enough, we also almost got arrested that day. I somehow managed to make it through 3 airports with a can of mase on my keychain and low and behold the 4th airport had to be a scene. I was in college, so of course I had mase on my keychain. It had been there for over a year so it's not something I thought to remove before flying. Instead of the TSA Agent calmy asking me about it and then just taking it and throwing it away he had to flip out and make a scene. I believe it went something like this:

TSA: Supervisor! Supervisor! We have a weapon!

Me: What are you talking about?

TSA: You have a can of mase on your key-chain.

Me: Um yeah I'm a girl and I am in college and I forgot about it. Sorry, but you can just throw it away.

TSA: Oh no. We have to keep this, it is a weapon. We have to call the police.

Me: Are you kidding me right now?

TSA man continues to make a scene.

Supervisor: Ma'am your not allowed to have this on an airplane. Lucky for you it's small enough that we don't have to call the police but we do have to keep this.

Me: That's fine. But I would like to let you know that I have been through 3 airports today and no one seemed to care but you.

Chris went to the TSA Office once we got through the gate and yelled to the manager about his moron Paul Blart look-alike agent they had working.

Clearly they need some new training on professionalism, cause they sure don't have it.

Vacation Part 5- Beach Photos of Course!

This morning, Chris and I decided to go to church. To most people that wouldn't be much of an accomplishment, but for us it is.

I haven't been to church in probably 5 years, mayble a little less for Chris. I have been wanting to go for a while, just always found some excuse not to go. So I was determined that we were in fact, going to go.

I grew up going to Baptist and Non-Denominational churches. I went to a "small" church when I was younger and have since decided that I prefer a different kind of church. No offense to anyone who does go to smaller churches, I just feel more comfortable in large, contemporary, more laid back churches. Chris is the exact opposite. He prefers the smaller more traditional churches.

We decided to try out one of the larger churches here that is a FourSquare church. I have never been to a FourSquare church, so it was nice to try something new. Turns out, I really enjoyed it. The preacher was very personable and I really enjoyed the music and the message that the sermon was about today. We are going try to continue to go to make sure it is where we want to be, but so far so good. It feels really nice to have done something good with my day.

Dear Steve Jobs, You Need To Come Back.

Steve Jobs, come back. Your company is already sucking without you.

I guess your wondering what I am talking about right? Well I have been debating for a few days whether or not I wanted to hop on the bandwagon and get the Iphone 4s or not. So this morning I finally decided I would go ahead and bite the bullet and get it. We get to AT&T and they are sold out. Okay, that's fine. So I call the Apple store and this is how the conversation went:

Me: Hello, I was wondering if you all have the Iphone 4S in stock, white, 16gb, for AT&T.

Stupid Girl: Let me go check, hold on just a second.

Stupid Girl: (approximately 30 seconds later), Yes we do have them in stock and available.

Me: Okay, can you hold one for me, we will be there in about 20 minutes.

Stupid Girl: We can't reserve over the phone but we will definately have some still in stock in 20 minutes.

Me: Are you sure? We don't want to drive there if you don't have them.

Stupid Girl: Yes, definately.

So we drive to the Apple store and guess what yall,

THEY DON'T HAVE ANY OF THE PHONES.

They hadn't had any since yesterday afternoon.

So yall know what that means?

Either stupid girl was too lazy to get up and actually check so she lied.

Or,

Stupid girl lied, so I would come into the store so they could try to upsale me to a bigger phone (which they did have in stock).

Or,

She was just that stupid.

Either way I was mad. Our poor salesman might have gotten an earful. I hate getting poor customer service and that's exactly what that was. You don't lie to people just to get them into your store or because your too lazy. That's pathetic. Not only did we waste money driving down there but we also had to pay for parking and all I got was an "I'm sorry." I wish Apple wasn't so powerful so maybe they would try harder to keep you as a customer. Sigh.

So basically what I learned is, if I want a white Iphone 4S, I have to order it. Even our BX doesn't sell the white ones. They could "deliver" it to me but I am not sure I want to do that. I guess I will just have to wait until more come into stock.

So for those of yall who upgraded to the 4S...is it really worth the headache?

You & Me Go Fishin' in the Dark.

While we were on vacation, hubby kinda-sorta picked up a new hobby. Fishing. We came back with an extra suitcase and I will give you one guess what was in it. Fishing gear. My dad basically has Bass Pro in his garage so he gave Chris a bunch of stuff to get started with. Of course Chris couldn't wait to use it all so today I come home from work and am greeted with,

"Hey honey, you wanna go fishin'?"

"Really, I just walked in."

"Yeah, let's go."

So we went fishing and decided to take the dogs. They loved it. They wanted to get in the water so bad but were a little too scared. Chris caught two fish and the girls tried to eat them. It was pretty cute.

I also decided to go back to my childhood tonight because we are watching Hocus Pocus! I seriously love this movie. It creeped me out so bad when I was younger.

I am also loving this fall weather we are having. I better enjoy it because in less than a week we are going to be having below freezing temperatures. Hello, snow.

Vacation Part 4- Deep Sea Fishin'

I am not sure what possessed me to pay $75 for a deep sea fishing trip, because I HATE fish, but I did it, and I will admit, it was AWESOME. We caught some huge fish, saw a shark, and came within 3 to 4 feet of dolphins. Definately cool. I will let yall know though that I did not touch any fish nor did I play with any of the bait (squid, gross!). That's just not my thing, ya know.

The next part of the week we spent fishing at the pier and trying out new restaraunts. I must say, Bubba Gump's was a neat atmosphere, but I wouldn't reccommend it. It was super expensive and our waitress, well put nicely, she didn't deserve a tip. Chris did enjoy his seafood though! We also ate at a place called Reggae Jae's and besides the crackhead that stalked me in the bathroom, it was really good!

-Went grocery shopping because our house was emppppttyyy.

-My hemmroid is getting better. (Yeah I just went there.)

The Bad

-Went way over budget at the grocery.

-Dogs peed in the floor as soon as we walked in.

-Had the worst turbulence ever flying from Denver.

-Still haven't unpacked anything. Sigh.

The Ugly

-Looked at the time wrong for our departing flight this morning. (Can you say, LATE?)

-Spent 45 minutes in the security line.

-Learned that the only way you get to cut line if your Active Duty is if your in uniform. (So a change of clothes makes your job that much more dangerous? Cool.)

-Ran to the gate with a 15 pound dog, 10 pound bag, and a purse strapped to my shoulder.

-Boarded the plane only to find out they had overbooked the flight and we DIDN'T HAVE SEATS!

-After 10 minutes of poseying around and having lots of people staring at us like they were about to slit our throats for making them late, we offer to just fly on the next flight so no one has to get booted off and these crazy people can get on there way.

-SWA says nooo we can't put you on another flight, so they boot some lady and her daughter off, because they were flying with a crew member. (Talk about feeling horrible, we felt so bad.)

-Finally boarded the plane and tried to take a seat next to this man who just wasn't having it because he didn't want anyone to sit next to him. Umm excuse me sir why don't you go complain about that problem to your airline who overbooked the flight and then tell me where to sit. K, Thanks.

-Luckily we landed on time but literally had to run to our next gate. Had enough time to pee and board the other plane. I WAS STARVING.

-Oh and I forgot to mention that while we were running through the airport this morning I ran into this store and spent $18 on lunchables and water.

-Needless to say, I will NEVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE fly Southwest Airlines. Nope. Never.

So now that we have finally made it home, put up the groceries, and not unpacked, I am going to take a nap. Today was just a little too much for me.

I promise I will continue with the vacation posts tommorrow! (So long as today doesn't think about repeating itself!)

Beach Vacation Part 1

We have returned from our beach vacation! As sad as I am to have left the beach, we had a great time, which means lots of great pictures!

So let's just start at the begining. The first few days were spent just enjoying the beach (and getting our tans of course!)
